Becoming a Trustee

Print friendly version

Health Action Trustees meet for an hour and a half every month at Health Action's office in Nelson, to receive reports and discuss strategy.

Our constitution requires between five & nine trustees.  We try to maintain a balance between representatives of groups that are active in health promotion in the community, and people with management, governance and financial skills.  We also aim to establish a gender balance.

Trustees are elected to the Board for one year and are eligible for re-appointment. They are not paid for their work but can receive out-of-pocket expenses.

The Board is currently interested to hear from members of the community who are interested in applying to become a trustee.

If you are interested and would like further information, please email the manager, Alison Lewin, or phone the number at the bottom of this page.
