Health Action Trust

Health Action is a community health promotion trust based in Nelson, New Zealand. Since 1982 we have supported numerous health promotion contracts including: mental health, youth alcohol & drug awareness, crisis respite and smoking cessation. We are governed by a Board of Trustees that meets each month to set and monitor the policy direction for Health Action and review operational outputs and outcomes.

We currently hold two contracts with the Ministry of Health:

• Mental Health Promotion
• CAYAD (Community Action Youth Alcohol and Drugs)

We also hold a further three contracts with the Nelson Marborough District Health Board:

• Compass (Peer Support and Advocacy)
• KOTUKU (Crisis Respite)
• The Whitehouse (A Consumer-run Community Centre)
