Parenting into the future

Held at Motueka High School Staff Room Monday 27 July 2009 7pm-8:30pm


The Health Action Trust hosted a forum at Motueka High School on Monday 27th July. This forum is part of the Project Health Action is carrying out over 2008. The forum's goal was help parents to learn how to build and maintain a successful relationship with their kids and support them with their education

At the forum parents, whanau and members of the wider community are invited to come along to hear feedback from a panel of specialists in their own field, respond to pre-submitted questions (received anonymously via txt, phone, email or post) over a 3 week period.

Approximately 30 parents, local and Nelson Service Providers attended the forum where attendees heard some great insights to youth behavior and youth culture.

Among the panelists were; Lorraine Mullings School Careers Counselor, Anne Harvey Business Mentor and Life Coach, John Glazier specialist in youth addictions and mental health, Simon Dadley-Moore Family Coach, Adge Tucker Tracks Trust Golden Bay, and two youth panelists Coral Simeon and Shavez Rangiuia.
