A Teenager's Life is Full-on!
Print friendly version
Education, future plans, girl or boyfriends, part-time jobs, school activities, friends and the ever changing relationship with your parents. We are all involved in busy and interesting lives although some elders seem to think we do nothing but party. It's surprising that we look so relaxed despite our many stresses, responsibilities and decisions; we somehow manage to divide our time between work and play successfully to create a balanced social diet. Seventh formers aim to maintain a relative balance between the successful student and the fun loving teen, giving respect yet credibility to their role model status. We as teenagers are constantly told how our decisions will effect our future. Ideas rampage through our minds and images of our careers are pondered. Doctor? TV presenter? Acrobat? With this as an ongoing issue, thoughts of when our next essay is due merge with our best friend's birthday, not forgetting to hand in exam fees and the never ending question of "Am I in love?". From all these teenage experiences we gain the qualities and skills which are needed throughout our adult life. These form the basis of who we are and who we can become. Kailee - NCG
